Particle Simulation with ROCK DEM

ROCKY DEM  is Discrete Element Modelling software developed jointly by ESSS, Brazil, and Granular Dynamics International, USA. ROCKY enables accurate predictions of the behavior of granular particles and liquid systems including interaction with structural components and particle breakage. Wherever large quantities of particles and bodies (regardless of their size, shape, material and adhesive properties) are set in motion, ROCKY can help to understand how they mix and flow so that the handling equipment design can be improved.

ROCKY has been integrated with the ANSYS Workbench environment so that coupling between ANSYS Mechanical and CFD models is easily achieved.

In this one hour webinar we will present ROCKY software, its capabilities and benefits and how it integrates with ANSYS. We will also perform a live demonstration and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the webinar.

Some of the areas we will be covering are:

  • Introduction to ROCKY DEM
  • Walk-through of the software interface (GUI)
  • How ROCKY is integrated with ANSYS Workbench
  • Live software demonstration
  • Q&A session
