Computational Fluid Dynamics at the HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil
In autumn 2018, the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Computational Fluid Dynamics
will start again at the HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil (University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil) in Switzerland.
CAS includes the following Modules:

CFD in Practice
Mathematics and Computational Methods
Our partner universities offer modules from other areas of simulation-based engineering sciences such as computational mechanics or human medicine. These modules can be used to supplement courses for your CAS. Please contact us for a complete module summary.
The Modules will be conducted in English by experienced professors from universities and industry specialists.
CAS takes 6 months to complete and contains 15 ECTS-credits total. Every module ends with an exam.
Sequence of Study
The study is divided into classroom and self-study phases. The 20 days of attendance are divided into several blocks (e.g. Thu, Fri, Sat).
The residential phase includes lectures, seminar-like classes and practical exercises. In addition, you should allow about 10 hours of self-study per week.
You will acquire in-depth, hands-on knowledge of the simulation of fluid tasks and get deeper insight into the physical principles of fluid mechanics and mathematical and numerical methods.
HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil (University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil) is easily accessible by air/train via Zurich. The Campus is beautifully located at the shores of Lake Zurich and directly connected to the train station. Our team is pleased to provide advice for your travel and accommodation.
